The
Caspian Technical Training Centre liaised closely with
its internal customers of BP Azerbaijan and has developed
a learning programme that not only delivers the foundations
of essential technical skills to the learners, but has
also provided its learners with highly unique and innovative
learning experiences in HSE, language and behavioural
subjects that solidifies the vital foundations to their
life long learning opportunities that exist within BP.The challenge from the
assets to the CTTC was to produce a learner that possessed
core technical skills as a foundation to their future
CMAS competency, but also to provide a learner that
had the following embedded skills:
The curriculum at the
CTTC was initially focused on the foundations of delivering
technical skills as the building blocks to the learners
CMAS competency.The challenge from the
AzBU was to provide an undiluted technical curriculum,
whilst delivering these other essential life long personal
skills using an ‘experiential’ methodology.The additional skills
provide a critical solution to the needs of our specific
region which also mirrors the trend of a growing Global
challenge to BP.The CTTC’s unique
and innovative approach to training incorporates the
principle of: Tell me and I may Forget, Show me
and I may Remember, Involve me and I will Understand. This newly practiced philosophy has delivered ground
breaking World class results. |
